Determine If You May Qualify For a Tax Credit
Some individuals and families, under age 65 who are not eligible for coverage through their employer, Medicaid or Medicare and that purchase a health insurance plan through Your Health Idaho may be eligible for cost savings on their monthly premiums through the Advanced Premium Tax Credit (APTC).
Using the Tax Credit estimator tool below you can find out if you may qualify. Please note that the results from this tool are based on non-tobacco user rates and are estimates. Your final premiums and costs may differ from the estimates, perhaps significantly. Additionally, this calculator does not factor in eligibility for Medicaid or CHIP, which may affect your total costs. For more information on Medicaid and CHIP eligibility please visit the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare website HERE.
The premiums displayed on the estimator tool are based on a benchmark “silver plan” in your area. When you shop for a plan you will have the option to choose between several insurance companies and from a higher or lower metal levels which will have varying costs – but your monthly APTC will remain the same.
