Children’s Dental Coverage
Dental coverage for children is an essential health benefit. This means if you’re getting coverage for someone 18 or younger, dental coverage must either be available to you as part of a health plan or available for purchase as a stand-alone plan. While it must be available to you, you do not have to buy it.
Stand-alone dental coverage for children will be available for purchase online through Your Health Idaho once you have selected a medical plan. Once a child turns 19, they will no longer be eligible for children’s dental coverage. If a child enrolls, they will be disenrolled from children’s dental coverage the last day of the month of their 19th birthday.
Adult Dental Coverage
Adult dental coverage can be purchased as stand-alone dental plans from five dental companies. Adults that wish to purchase dental should work with an agent or broker or contact the insurance company directly to enroll.
